Tear It Up – Live

LP (Item 472409) Mango, 1982 — Condition: Very Good-
This album couldn't be more aptly titled with Michael Rose, Puma Jones and Duckie Simpson tearing it up alongside Sly & Robbie, Mikey Chung, Darryl Thompson, Keith Sterling and Skyjuice live in Europe in the early 80s. 8 blistering numbers in all: "Shine Eye Gal", "Plastic Smile", "Abortion", "General Penitentiary", 'Guess Who's Coming To Dinner", "I Love King Selassie", "Sinsemilla" and "Leaving For Zion".  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good - (minus)

  • Vinyl may be dirty, and can lack a fair amount of luster.
  • Vinyl can have a number of marks, either in clusters or smaller amounts, but deeper.
  • This is the kind of record that you'd buy to play, but not because it looked that great. Still, the flaws should be mostly cosmetic, with nothing too deep that would ruin the overall record.
  • Examples include a record that has been kept for a while in a cover without the paper sleeve, or heavily played by a previous owner and has some marks across the surface. The record should play okay, though probably with surface noise.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Birth Of A Legend (single LP version)
Calla, 1960s. Very Good+
Early, early Coxsone Dodd produced sides of groovy rocksteady, voiced by a young Bob Marley with Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer. While we don't find this material nearly as compelling as his later work produced by Lee Perry and then his huge international hits, it's great Studio One rocksteady and an ... It may be commercial reggae, but the strength of the group's version of "Now That We Found Love" really pushed them over the top! That track's the real winner here – a smooth modern soul number with just a slight hint of Kingston, grooving away in a crossover style that we still ... LP, Vinyl record album

One of the sharpest, most righteous albums from Bob Marley – in case you couldn't guess from the title, which is his response to a recent assassination attempt! The whole thing's got a very classic vibe – and the lyrics have even more of a political current than some of Marley's other ... LP, Vinyl record album

Bob Marley & The Wailers – Live

A great global showcase for the growing power of Bob Marley – an excellent live set recorded in London in 1975, and a date that shows Bob and The Wailers working with the crowd in this really universal spirit!
