❔

You might not guess it by the records that tend to grace our pages, but we do love some Neil Young around the Dusty offices. And while we'd like to say it doesn't get much better than this prime mid 70s LP, the old man's delivered so many great recordings over the years that would be a mighty statement indeed. An album that puts classic in "classic rock" though you're not too likely to hear any of this gold in rotation on your favorite station that peddles the overplayed genre. 8 tracks in all, including "Walk On", "See The Sky About to Rain", "Revolution Blues", "For The Turnstiles", "Vampire Blues", "On The Beach", "Motion Pictures" and "Ambulance Blues".  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Original pressing with printing inside jacket, including the printed inner sleeve.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

A rootsy group from the Chicago scene, but one with a fair amount of wit, too – a subtle political agenda that's buried a bit beneath more rocking modes, and which really helps set these guys apart from the pack! The songwriting is often pretty smart, at least from a social perspective ... LP, Vinyl record album

One of the weirdest albums of the 60s, and a surprisingly big hit for the legendary Tiny Tim – a character then know to TV audiences for his appearances on Laugh-In and other shows – but an artist who sounds surprisingly culture-counter all these years later! One of the most jamming Zappa albums from the early days – a set that's still got some of Frank's complicated musical leanings in play – but which features interpretation by a smoking group who no doubt helped the great one reach a much larger audience! George Duke plays lots of organ ... LP, Vinyl record album
