It's easy to keep on dancing with a groove this great – a hip dancefloor approach, added to this lesser-known Chicago harmony group! Although the group were mellower in the past, they step up nicely here with arrangements from Maurice Commander and some sweet Lucky Cordell production! (Promo. Cover has a cut corner & some light wear.)  © 1996-2015, Dusty Groove, Inc.

We realize that there are many different interpretations of the standard grades used for pre-owned vinyl record albums & CD, so we thought we'd offer you the ones that we are working with, so you have an idea what we mean when we give the grade for a non-new item on our pages.

Used Vinyl Grades

Below are stated conditions for a used vinyl records at Dusty Groove. Grading for the cover should be assumed to be near (within a "+" or "-") the grading for the vinyl. If there is significant divergence from the condition of the vinyl, or specific flaws, these will be noted in the comments section of the item. However, please be aware that since the emphasis of this site is towards the music listener, our main concern is with the vinyl of any used item we sell. Additionally, please note that all of our records are graded visually; considering the volume of used vinyl we handle, it is impossible for us to listen to each record. If we spot any significant flaws, we make every attempt to listen through them and note how they play.

The following grading conditions apply to the vinyl component of an album or single:

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Curtom, 1978. Very Good+
The height of the disco years at Curtom, and quite possibly Linda Clifford's biggest single – if not her best. The tune's an overblown remake of the old showtune from Sweet Charity – done with very full arrangements, and running for quite some time. "Gypsy Lady" is almost a ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

Tommy Boy, 1983. Very Good+
A latin B-Boy classic! Plus, the bonus beats on this 12" are the drums soloed up, then the bassline soloed up, and then the vocoder soloed up, great for mixing! 12-inch, Vinyl record

Sunnyview, 1984. Very Good+
More electro beats, of course. This one has less of a novelty feel than some of their other singles, though the vocal version does have some goofy vocoder "computer" voice saying "Push The Button." 12-inch, Vinyl record

First Priority, 1988. Very Good+
"Many Styles" is not on any Audio Two LP (though it's on the First Priority Basement Flavor compilation.) From around the same time as the "What More Can I Say" LP and just about as dope as their hits from that LP, but with more mellow production, and nice use of the "Freddi ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
