This Love For Real/I'll Never Forget You

7-inch (Item 46768) Inner City, Early 70s — Condition: Near Mint-
Out Of Stock

7-inch, Vinyl record

Sublime harmony soul – written and produced by Leroy Hutson! "This Love" has a spare, spacey sound – tripping along in a great mellow vein, with the vocals cascading over the top of the cut! "I'll Never Forget You" is a bit less well-placed, but it's also a great sweet soul track with all the warmth of Leroy's ballads on his own albums!  © 1996-2019, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

In The Bottle/The Affair
Turbo, 1974. Near Mint-
Great groovy stuff – Brother to Brother's fabulous cover of the Gil Scott-Heron track "The Bottle" – done here with a cool flanged vocal chorus on the lyrics, and a tight jazzy groove that reproduces the feel of the original, but adds some soulful female vocals! 7-inch, Vinyl record
Day Dreaming, Early 70s. Near Mint-
A great female harmony duo from Chicago! "Hey Love" is a sweet swinger with a nice little bounce – arrangements by Tom Tom, and nicely cracking vocals by the girls, singing in a style that's almost like The Lovelites! "My Baby" is mellower, but still has a good groove at ... 7-inch, Vinyl record

I've Got To Find A Way/Instrumental No 1
Nickel, Early 70s. Near Mint-
A righteous soul gem from Chicago – killer work put together by Chi-soul DJ/Arranger Richard Pegue! Fantastic fuzzy psychedelic soul from the Temps! Norm Whitfield's rumbling funk helped this cut, and the Temptations really take the forefront of mainstream soul, and the wicked psychedelic touches still sound great today! 7-inch, Vinyl record

Funky DJ/Juke Box
Stone, 1976. Near Mint-
A very cool little single done by John Fred in the years after his famous Playboy Band pop – 2 tracks done in a slow-stepping style that's a lot like Miami funk of the 70s, but recorded in Fred's usual territory of Louisiana! "Funky DJ" is a hard clavinet number that features ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
