To Know You Is To Love You (Platinum Pied Pipers voc mix, Platinum Pied Pipers inst mix, Red Astaire rmx)

12-inch (Item 466352) Ubiquity, 2004 — Condition: Very Good+
Out Of Stock

12-inch, Vinyl record

One of the best tracks from Greyboy's recent album – served up in a host of great mixes! The original version is a classic 70s track by Syreeta – redone here by Greyboy with deeply soulful vocals by Bart Davenport, augmented nicely by a skipping groove from the Pied Pipers – using lots of funky flute and keys to really come up with a great sound! Red Astaire plays off the bass a bit more – abstracting the vocals a little, but still keeping the core of the track.  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Tru Thoughts (UK), 2007. Very Good+
A wicked little remake of the Snoop Dogg tune – one that takes the track into firmly acoustic, heavily brassy territory as the theme for the Hot 8 Brass Band! Schema (Italy), 2003. Near Mint- (pic cover)
Bouncing Latin beats and warm jazzy grooves – another winner in the Schema tradition, and the first record we've heard from these Italian up and comers! "Colpo" has a tight batucada feel – really fast and frenetic, with trumpet flourishes over the top. "Revolver" ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
