What's Up Tiger Lily?

LP (Item 45655) Kama Sutra, 1966 — Condition: Sealed

An excellent soundtrack to one of the wildest Woody Allen movies ever made – a weird little film that has Woody dubbing fake English dialogue over a Japanese action picture! The music by Lovin Spoonful is equally great – a bit groovier than some of their other albums of the time – with a few straight vocal numbers, done in the Spoonful's regular style – and some great instrumentals, including the slow funky number "Speakin Of Spoken", which has a slow guitar break sound that's really great! Woody Allen delivers the "Introduction To Flick", and other tracks include "Phil's Love Theme", "Lookin To Spy", "Pow", and "End Title".  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Shrinkwrap has a hole in front. Cover has a cutout hole.)

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Kama Sutra, 1967. Near Mint-
A rare full album from The Tradewinds – a wonderful harmony pop group with a Sunshine Pop feel! Early genius from the Talking Heads – a set that's got a much sparer sound than most of their later work, and a surprisingly groovy feel overall! A really nice album from Dave Mason & Mama Cass – one that has Dave's vocals mostly in the lead, but which also brings him much closer in style to Mama's sweet and dreamy pop mode – a lovely little psychedelic folk pop record with soulful touches!
