La De Da I Love You/Yankee Doodle Dandy

7-inch (Item 456438) Symbol, Mid 60s — Condition: Good

...

Good

  • A record that you'd buy to play, cheap, but which you wouldn't buy for collecting.
  • Will have marks across all parts of the playing surface, and will most likely play with surface noise throughout. May have some other significant flaws, such as residue, or a track that skips.
  • In most cases, a poor quality copy of a very difficult to find record.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Volt, 1970. Very Good
One of those great funk singles on Stax/Volt from this period, by an artist who never recorded a full album for the label. The track's got a good hard funk groove, with a rolling bassline, and nice shouted funky vocals. 7-inch, Vinyl record
Cadet, Late 60s. Very Good
2 great tracks from the Dells' best years! "I Can Sing A Rainbow" is a righteous semi-political cut that's mixed in a medley with "Love Is Blue", all set to stellar spacey Charles Stepney arrangements, and nice hard drums. "Hallelujah Baby" is a great one, too – ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
Silver Fox, Early 70s. Very Good
A weird one from Hank – not at all like other 70s work! This single's a sad, slow, country soul reading of a Kris Kristofferson tune – pretty darn great, although very different than any of his funky tunes. So if you're buying this for a funk track, forget it – but if you like ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
