Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so.
These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play,
but might detract from the looks.
May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be
intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under
the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record.
(Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
Possible minor surface noise when played.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
A bit of David Byrne from the best years of the Talking Heads – tunes commissioned by Twyla Tharp for an offbeat piece of dance entitled The Catherine Wheel. A few of the tracks are vocals, and feature some of Byrne's most compelling lyrics from the time – and others are instrumentals, ... LP, Vinyl record album
A really groovy little record – and one by a group who might well be better-named "Funky Duck", given all the heavy drums and sharp riffing on the tunes! These guys are definitely a rock group, but they've also got the sort of instrumentation that would be right at home on a funky ... LP, Vinyl record album
(Original blue label pressing. Cover has light wear, some gloss separation at the spine, and is bent a bit at the front panel and bottom right corner.)LP, Vinyl record album
One of the greatest debut albums of all time – a record that hit the world like a comet when it was released, and which will continue to burn brightly for many decades to come! There's few groups who get things so right as Gang Of Four on this set – balancing the sharp edges of UK punk ... LP, Vinyl record album
A huge album from Traffic – a set that was first given to the world in a strange-shaped cover – which seemed to grace countless record collections back in the 70s! The group is expanded to a sextet here – with bass from Rick Grech and percussion from Rebop Kwaku Baah – both ... LP, Vinyl record album
Great jazz rock jamming from National Health – a group who evolved out of Hatfield & The North, and who work here with an equally complex sound! The album's a bit late in the UK jazz rock scene, but still has all the classic touches – really well-crafted instrumentation, played ... LP, Vinyl record album
Titles include "Pressure Drop", "Give Me An Inch", "Work To Make It Work", "Here With you Tonight", "Which Of Us Is The Fool", and "Fine Time". LP, Vinyl record album
An incredibly groovy album – filled with instrumental tracks that shift between funky big band and groovy 60s soundtrack – all arranged by Mike Nesmith and Shorty Rogers! The feel here is like that of some of Rogers' other groovy late 60s instrumental one-off albums – like his ... LP, Vinyl record album
