This is an outstanding collection of Warwick's songs which are, of course, almost exclusively written by Bacharach and David. There are a total of 12 songs and even though they are Bacharach/David tunes which tons of others have recorded, she's the one who comes to mind when you hear them and her versions are perhaps the best. Tracks include "I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself", "I Say A Little Prayer For You", "Message To Michael", "In Between Heartaches", "Windows Of The World", and "I Say A Little Prayer For You". (Cover has light edge wear.)  © 1996-2016, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Capitol, 1979. Very Good
Sublime work from Frankie Beverly and Maze – smooth, mellow, and perfectly put together, with a level of care and class that you'd be hard pressed to find in many of the group's contemporaries! The album's not one of the group's most famous, but that makes it even more of a treat, as you'll ... LP, Vinyl record album

In The Mood
Columbia, 1979. Very Good
Our favorite album ever from Tyrone Davis – even if it's completely different than most of his other work too! The set's got a wonderfully smooth feel right from the start – a mellow-grooving, slow-stepping approach that works perfectly for Tyrone's wonderful vocals – pushing ... LP, Vinyl record album

Percussion Explosion!
Alston, 1978. Very Good
The percussion-heavy soul gem from Herman Kelly & Life – recorded in both Brazil & Miami – and awash with killer drum work all the way through! The album's a key part of the Miami sound especially – and really shows the way that city's 70s funk scene used congas heavily ... LP, Vinyl record album
