Greatest Rap Hits Vol 4

LP (Item 4519) Sugar Hill, 1984 — Condition: Sealed

Includes "The Message" and "She's Fresh" by Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, "Do You Want To Rock" by Funky Four, "Action" by Treacherous Three, "Rappers Reprise" by Sugar Hill Gang and Sequence, and "On The Radio" by Crash Crew.  © 1996-2021, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Still sealed, with a hype sticker and cutout notch.)

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Colors – Original Soundtrack
Warner, 1988. Very Good
One of the first classic hip hop movie soundtracks of the late 80s, and a motherlode of great cuts! As divisive, hard hitting and uncompromising as the movie was, the Colors soundtrack does a great job of delivering on the tone with Ice T's title track and theme some, a snapshot of mid-to-late 80s ... Ruthless/Priority, 1988. Very Good
Eazy's first and best LP, from back when he was trying to kid everyone that he was still a teenager. As we all know, Eazy Duz It is a lot more of a companion piece to Straight Outta Compton than a standout solo album by Eazy E, with most the writing credits going to almost everyone involved with ... One of those album's you have to love – not only because it's extra dope, but because it's a slept on gem by one of hip hop's pioneers – one that keeps it real in a sense that seems lost so many years down the line! A great mix of modes from Osamu Kitajima – a set that's still got some of the exotic elements of his other material, but which also brings in a stronger fusion component too – mixing Kitajima's work on guitar and koto with plenty of Fender Rhodes and other great electric touches!
