A fantastic album of funky club soul tracks from Sharon Redd – with a sound that's a lot rawer and more honest than some of her later work, and nice hard grooving from a tight backup band with stellar lead guitar by Rodney Brown. Rodney really shines on the track "Can You Handle It", a chromatic vamper with a catchy rollerskate groove, and a great breakaway solo in the middle.
