This is a grade we rarely use, as we try not to sell records
in very bad condition, though in some rare cases we will list a
record in such bad shape that it does not conform to the standards above.
A "Fair" record will have enough marks or significant flaws that it
does not even qualify as "Good", but is a copy you might consider
for playing, if you're willing to put up with noise and/or flaws.
An example might be a recording with surface noise so heavy that
it is equal to the volume of the music. For records listed as "Fair",
we will describe the extent of the condition in the comments.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
And we dig them plenty, too – thanks to tunes that include "La Malanga", "Hermoza O Felia", "The Magic Tongue", "Pa Bailar", "Ay Que Mtae", "Jamboin", and "Juana Palangana". LP, Vinyl record album
Lots of lively cuts from this hip small combo – including "Charlie's Cha Cha Cha", "Mambo In Drums", "No No Not Again", "The Spicy Cha Cha", and "Nenita Cha Cha". LP, Vinyl record album
Loads of playful groovers – and titles include "Johnny Guitar", "Delicado", "Garbage Man's Cha Cha", "Prelude In Rhythm", "The Martian Cha Cha", and "Batakum". LP, Vinyl record album
One of the more obscure albums by this great little combo – with cuts that include "Bilongo", "Bon Bon Cha", "My Cuban Sombrero", "The Laughing Cha Cha", and "Mambo Batiri". LP, Vinyl record album
Not really a "Broadway" album, as you might guess from the title – although Tito and group do play a version of the soul hit "On Broadway" on the set – but a nicely-honed set with a strong Latin jazz groove, much more back to basics than some of Tito's work from the ... LP, Vinyl record album
A pretty darn nice album of Latin tracks – despite the obvious cheeseball theme of the record. Sure, it seems a bit of a cop-out for Tito to be doing a My Fair Lady album – but keep in mind that just about everyone was doing one of them at the time (after Shelly Manne had his big hit ... Lost grooves from Spanish Harlem – an incredible set of Latin Soul from The 107th Street Stickball Team! With a name like that, the group certainly aren't as well-remembered as contemporaries like Joe Bataan or Willie Colon, but they've got a soulful groove that definitely fits the style of ... LP, Vinyl record album
Good salsa session from the 70's, with the long jammer "Indestructible" (eleven minutes long!), plus "Hipocresia Y Falsedad", "Alma Con Alma", and "Ay No". Lots of nice grooves, and a very tight band that includes a firey twin-sax frontline, plus some nice ... LP, Vinyl record album
One of the excellent overlooked Latin albums recorded by Atlantic during the 60's – most of which were never issued again. Rene Bloch leads a nice little orchestra through a lively set of mambos and Latin jazz tracks, with a set that's mostly instrumental, and which has a different sound, ... LP, Vinyl record album
