Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have
some signs of use (although not major ones).
May have slight surface noise when played.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Back in the day, Chicago never had much of a rap scene – which is why it was so easy for Chicago radio DJ Casper to score big with this little groover on the AVI label! The cut's actually not bad as sort of a funky clubby track – and Casper's rapping style reminds us a lot of Gary Byrd ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
The a-side is the title track to Lonnie's album of the same name – and a pretty nicely titled tune at that! The cut's got Lonnie working in a fast funk mode – adding in vocals next to the keys, and going for an upbeat style that's almost like funky Stevie Wonder! 12-inch, Vinyl record
"Touch & Go" is a killer club track from Ecstasy, Passion & Pain – with sweet Bobby Martin arrangements, and a warm soulful groove that still manages to kick it nice and hard, plus you get the Danny Krivit mix exclusive to this release! 12-inch, Vinyl record
Herbie Mann's getting some great help here from Patrick Adams – who produced both sides with his usual dancefloor flair! "Etagui" is a killer number – full-on and a bit funky – bass bouncing up from the bottom with some great vibes at the start, plus the usual Adams ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
A tight single off the 5 Boroughs LP, with the Beasties getting back to business after whatever you want to call the Hello Nasty LP. The cut rocks nicely in a new school fashion with a nod to the old: stabs and breaks strung together in a nice funky fashion. 12-inch, Vinyl record
