This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap.
We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't
look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time,
we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape —
which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be
torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played,
the record will still qualify as "Sealed".
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
A bit of a sleeper from Gladys Knight & The Pips, but not an album to sleep on – filled with really amazing early work from Knight & The Pips – proof that they already had a great thing going long before their later fame on Motown and Buddah! The tracks here were recorded in ... LP, Vinyl record album
A collection of songs from the early days when Gladys Knight & The Pips were just starting out. Tracks include "Every Beat Of My Heart", "Queen Of Tears", "Room In Your Heart", and more. LP, Vinyl record album
One of the last Gladys Knight albums for Motown – and seemingly a collection of work from a variety of different sessions, possibly put together to compete with her shift to Buddah Records in the mid 70s! The groove here is pretty great, often in a mode that's a bit more uptempo and ... LP, Vinyl record album
Although Gladys Knight & The Pips didn't cut their first recordings or their biggest recordings for Motown, they did still do a pretty nice job at the label – as you'll hear on this nice 2LP set that brings together a nice batch of their best tracks. Includes their original version of ... LP, Vinyl record album
A brilliant mix of soul and jazz from the legendary Norman Connors – a key album in breaking Norman out back in the 70s – and a record that's still pretty darn perfect all these many years later! You can hear Connors' deep roots throughout the set – but they're often used towards ... LP, Vinyl record album
A wonderful debut from Aquarian Dream – a group who first appeared under the direction of Norman Connors – and who also have lots of the same blend of jazz, soul, and funk you'd find in Connors' own music of the time! Yet Aquarian Dream are very much their own bag, too – a ... LP, Vinyl record album
Nice 2LP set of the best of the Isley's early T-Neck stuff, with some of their funkiest cuts from the early 70's, including "Give The Women What They Want", "Pop That Thang", "The Blacker The Berrie", "Work To Do", "Brother, Brother", "Get Into ... LP, Vinyl record album
A classic album by this righteous soul collective – and one that shows them taking a strong step away from their work at RCA with Harvey Fuqua. This one has the group (ever-enormous as always!) absorbing some of the other elements of modern soul that were floating around at the time – ... LP, Vinyl record album
Produced by Tony Silvester, Tony Camillo, and Bert DeCoteaux – with titles that include "By Your Side", "What's The Reason", "Good Time Ladies Rag", "Stop Your Half-Steppin Ma Ma", and "I'll Keep My Light In The Window". LP, Vinyl record album
Smooth mellow soul by Michael Henderson – taking up where he left off with his work with Norman Connors, and proving that he was an even better vocalist than bassist. The overall sound of this one's perhaps a bit slicker than his first 2 albums on Buddah – but there's still some strong ... LP, Vinyl record album
Although this set was issued by Buddah in 1970, it's a great set featuring some of the earliest work that the Five Stairsteps recorded for Curtis Mayfield's Windy C label during the late 60s, under his production talents as well! We love all of the Burke brothers albums, both as a group and solo, ... LP, Vinyl record album
The very first album from Michael Henderson – but a set that already finds him very much at the top of his game – thanks to previous work with Miles Davis and Norman Connors! Both artists gave Henderson a chance to do different things with his music, and by the time of this record, ... LP, Vinyl record album
