Funky Music Sho Nuff Turns Me On/Mother Nature

7-inch (Item 445776) Gordy, 1972 — Condition: Near Mint-

(In a Sound Of Young America sleeve.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Obscure mid period material from Garland! "Bumpin & Stompin" is a funky disco number, with a groove that's not too bad in a kind of pop soul way, but which doesn't work as well for Garland as other backing. The flip's nice, though, and features a very tasty spokey bluesy kind of ... 7-inch, Vinyl record

2 killer 60s instrumentals! "Shhhhh" is nothing quiet at all – and the track's a stormer with heavy drums, wailing organ, and some nice grunts and groans from James in the background! "Here I Go" is a groover, too – and one with a very unusual piano in the lead! 7-inch, Vinyl record

We never tire of the Intruders – and a single like this is the reason why! "I'm Girl Scoutin" is great stuff in their classic mode – with kind of a silly theme, but solid soul vocals that totally put the whole thing over without a flaw! "Wonder What Kind" is great, ... 7-inch, Vinyl record

A stone classic from Tyrone – and one of the best Chicago soul singles of the late 60s! "Can I Change My Mind" has a vamping, romping groove that's every bit the Brunswick sound at its best – topped with incredible vocals by Tyrone, on a lyric that practically hearalds a ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
