Queen Of Siam

LP (Item 437985) Ze, 1980 — Condition: Near Mint-
Seminal no wave from the queen of the art-damaged downtown boho scene. It's hard to imagine getting anymore disaffected than this. Includes "Mechanical Flattery", "Gloomy Sunday", "Tied & Twist", "Spooky", "Los Banditos", "Atomic Bongos", "Lady Scarface", "A Cruise To The Moon", "Carnival Fat Man", "Knives In The Drain" and "Blood Of Tin".  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(US pressing. Includes the printed inner sleeve. Cover has a cut corner, promo sticker, light wear, and is lightly curled at the bottom seam, with small bits of paper stuck to the back.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

A pretty great little album of surf tracks – featuring the guitar of Al Casey, plus the vocals of the K-C-Ettes on the title track. Kind of a concept album with a bit of an art rock feel – featuring lead vocals by Kim Moore and Roger Meakin, over a suite of tracks that include as much violin as they do guitar. Titles include "Last Tango", "Still Life", "Painted Lady" and a nice take on " ... LP, Vinyl record album
Mute, 1975. Near Mint- 3LP Trifold
A great addition to the 70s catalog of the legendary Can – a set of live recordings made in Stuttgart in 1975, all of which have the group working in this wonderfully long-jamming style! Tracks are long, and maybe even more proggy than the group's studio work of the time – an all-instru ... LP, Vinyl record album

Bizarre/Reprise, 1972. Near Mint-
Wonderful stuff from Frank Zappa – a set that still has all the freak-out feel of the early years, yet which also shows a real maturation in his arrangement styles as well! Chet Baker Big Band
Pacific Jazz, 1956. Near Mint-
Excellent work – and believe it or not, a great big band album led by Chet Baker!
