So So Def Bass All-Stars Vol III Street Sampler

12-inch (Item 437967) So So Def, 1998 — Condition: Near Mint-

6 tracks: "True City Thugs" in LP and clean versions by the Ying Yang Twins, "What The F$@k" by VIP Squad, "Drop Dem Boes (Triple J edit)" by Bo Hagon and Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz, "Time After Time (Lil Jon rmx)" by Linoj and "Drop Don't Stop (clean)" by MC Ade & DJ Smurf.  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Promo in a stickered sleeve.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

"Change The Style" is right – as Son of Bazerk run through a dozen styles, from sweet soul to heavy metal. The cover is a great take-off of the cover one of the James Brown King LP's – I Got You. 12-inch, Vinyl record

One of our favorite grooves from the classic years of Sugar Hill Records – a killer cut based around Cheryl Lynn's "To Be Real" – with the original groove slamming nicely on the bottom, as Funky 4 Plus 1 trade lines over the top! The track's filled with classic rhymes from ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

Both the Puff Daddy & Ali Shaheed Muhamed mixes of this Faith Evans track hit hard, Puff Daddy's in the mid '90's hot radio style that blew him up so large and Muhamed's with that smooth Tribe vibe. 12-inch, Vinyl record
