One of a rare few albums issued by hip LA vibist Emil Richards as a leader – a hell of a talent who also did a lot of studio work, but one that we really love when he gets a chance to step out front and shine! The set was recorded at Donte's, a very groovy club in the city – and in addition to vibes and a variety of percussion played by Emil, the group features Dave Mackay on piano and percussion, Ray Neapolitan on electric bass, Joe Porcaro on drums, and Mark Stevens on more percussion– all of which makes for some very groovy rhythms!
