The title's probably a bit of a misnomer – as this wasn't Louie's first record, but it is a great one! The record's filled with excellent original songs by Louie, many with that hard-hitting Latin jazz style he used on his best Alegre records – perfectly crafted with tight percussion, jazzy vibes, great horn solos, and vocals on the chorus.
