Four Tops On Top

The Four Tops are definitely on top with this sweet early set – a record that not only shows them sparkling away from some of their big singles of the time, but also handling some other wonderful material in their sublime soul group style! The set includes some lesser-known Motown tracks, like "There's No Love Left", "I Got A Feeling", "Shake Me, Wake Me", "Until You Love Someone", and the hit "Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever" – all mixed with some more standard tunes from the time, but all given a special Motown mix of soul and class, on tracks that include "Matchmaker", "Quiet Nights Of Quiet Stars", and Toots Thielemans' great jazzy number "Bluesette". © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.
