Two jazz funk classics – the ubiquitous title tracks to one of the Crusaders' most commercially successful LPs, featuring vocals by Randy Crawford, and a timeless cut that we never tire of – and the flip, a smooth jazzed out mid tempo cut, with a great propulsive beat underneath.  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(A great copy!)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Late 70s. Very Good
A strange one from Karen Young – an acetate that has a lush version of "God Bless America" on the main side, but with a groover on the flip that's a lot more like her clubby material! 12-inch, Vinyl record
House, 1986. Very Good-
A Chicago house classic, taking off on the riff from the Isaac Hayes tune that's been re-edited and mixed as doubles in clubs for ages and turning it into a new club anthem! 12-inch, Vinyl record
Dance Mania, 1988. Very Good-
Early, early work from Lil Louis – super raw too, in the way the best independent Chicago house singles were at the beginning. 12-inch, Vinyl record
Trax, 1986. Very Good-
Another great Trax single from Adonis, not quite as Acid sounding as "No Way Out", but a catchy groove nonetheless. You've got to love those 909 handclaps! 12-inch, Vinyl record
Salsoul (UK), 1980. Near Mint-
An incredible anthem of power from Loleatta Holloway – and one of the greatest tunes ever recorded for Salsoul! The original Shep Pettibone mix of the track is sublime – starting slow with piano notes that ring out strongly over the beats – building in a house-like style before ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
