Soundbwoy Super Status Reggae Breaks & Beats – Vol 3: The Hard Way
LP (Item 402108) Soundbwoy, 2000 — Condition: Near Mint-
Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so.
These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play,
but might detract from the looks.
May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be
intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under
the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record.
(Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
Possible minor surface noise when played.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
A classic slice of Jamaican roots – and an essential record from the godlike hands of Lee Perry! The set was produced by Perry at Black Ark – and instantly became the stuff of legend, even though the initial version of the album got very limited exposure – which has led to years ... Don't think "disco" as in the New York scene at Studio 54 – as these cuts are much deeper and dubbier – served up under the supervision of Bunny Lee by studio maestros Barnabas and Pat Kelly! Instrumentation is by the Aggrovators, but the magic comes equally from the ... LP, Vinyl record album
We'd be willing to wager Marley is perhaps the artist whose work has been released and re-released, repackaged and reformatted more than any other. This set features work recorded under Coxsone Dodd at Studio One: "Wings Of A Dove", "It Hurts To Be Alone", "I'm Still ... LP, Vinyl record album
An essential roots album! A mid 70s landmark of harmony roots, the Abyssinians' Satta is hard to beat for hardcore, spiritual roots delivered over hypnotically pulsing rhythms. Robbie Shakespeare, plus Horsemouth, Boo Richards, Micky Chung, Chinna Smith and Clive Hunt and Geoffrey Chung are among ... LP, Vinyl record album
Massive 3LP set of club classics from the 70's and early 80's. Similar to the Spaced Out comp, in that it's got a great bunch of cuts that everybody knows from back in the day, but which are very very tough to find. Tracks include "Disco Juice" by Cloud One, "Tee's Happy" by ... LP, Vinyl record album
The third album from The English Beat and another step further away from their rougher roots – which may not have sat well with strident fans of their earlier, punchier ska revival sounds – but it stands up today as one of the most timeless leftfield pop albums of the early 80s!
