Classic Boogie Down Productions circa '89 – with prime street poetry from KRS, perfectly raw beats and overall peak end of the 80s production! Blueprint is an apt title for a couple reasons – the beats aren't what we'd call spare, but they're raw and unvarnished – a perfect ... LP, Vinyl record album
Six dope tracks from Masta Ace that should have been released earlier but never were due to record label problems, etc. Side B includes three tracks recorded between 1992 and 1994 that are better than most of his "Sittin On Chrome" era tracks – "Way Of The World", "So ... LP, Vinyl record album

The follow up to the classic first LP! Listening to Kurtis Mantronik productions all of these years later is a definite educational experience, given the huge influence the crisp synth sounds had on the future of hip hop – not only as a matter of necessity, given the cost of sample clearance ... Instrumental hip hop breaks, mixed with the odd goof vocal samples for sampling. The beats are pretty decent, with lots of good bass-heavy beats. Created by video director Ben Stokes and Jack Dangers of Meat Beat Manifesto. LP, Vinyl record album
One of the best debuts in the history of hip hop – and one of the most important albums the genre ever produced! Criminal Minded is landmark for a number of reasons. Among the biggest is, of course, that it was recorded with the late great DJ Scott La Rock – and he was soon to fall ... LP, Vinyl record album
The landmark debut of 2Pac – hard rhymes and gritty production laying the bedrock for an iconic legacy! 2Pac's voice is front and center throughout, nothing tentative about the rhymes or delivery, and true to legend, every word feels honest and real, whether you're comfortable with it or not. ... An underappreciated later effort from the mighty Run DMC – with slightly harder hitting beats, and an overall effectively terse style (hence the title) – and really the crew's last solid full length! You don't need us to tell you that Tougher Than Leather isn't the seminal classic ... LP, Vinyl record album
