The obscure first album from Sybil – issued 2 years before her breakout self-titled hit, and recorded with a sound that only hints at the brilliance of later years. The feel here is a bit more club-oriented – somewhere between the late disco years and some of the post-house projects that would link a female vocalist with a soundsystem – not nearly as chunky on the rhythms as the Sybil hits we like best, and almost with a simpler pop sort of feel.
