A selection of tracks culled from the days when War were working with Eric Burdon – during the years 1969 and 1970, when the ex-Animal tried to show the world that he actually had some real soul cred, and hooked up with this hip funky combo from LA to lay down his groove. The tracks are very much in the vein of Burdon's best early stuff with the group – and the album includes two funky rock workouts, versions of "Paint It Black" and "Day In The Life" that both run for a very long time. Other tracks include "Love Is All Around", "Magic Mountain", and "Home Dream". © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.
