Never Had A Love Like This Before (voc, inst)

12-inch (Item 373545) Capitol, 1978 — Condition: Very Good+
Out Of Stock

12-inch, Vinyl record

✈
An incredible single from Tavares – mellow-stepping club work, served up in some amazingly warm production from Bobby Martin – with a laidback Philly groove that brings out some wonderful harmonies from the group! The tune's incredibly catchy, and even the instrumental is great – as it still features the catchy vocal chorus!  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(In a Capitol Disco sleeve.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Completely sublime! Shuggie Otis first wrote and recorded "Strawberry Letter 23", but it took The Brothers Johnson, and some smooth Quincy Jones production to make it a hit! The track loses none of it's original trippy soul in this version – and if anything, the better vocals ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

Do Ya Wanna Funk (orig, inst, radio)
Megatone, 1982. Very Good
Early 80s post disco groove – featuring Sylvester on vocals, with a nice, electronic synth sound to the track! You might know Cowley's remix of Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" or "Megatron Man", which have the same feel as this club cut. 12-inch, Vinyl record

A soulful classic from Chicago! "Move Your Body" is a wonderful house tune – one with a warmer groove than usual, and vocals that really drive the track in a great way.
