Mystic Man

LP (Item 369612) Rolling Stones, 1979 — Condition: Very Good+
Also available
Peter Tosh — Mystic Man (green vinyl pressing) ... LP 22.99
A big 70s set for Peter Tosh – one of his late decade albums issued on the Rolling Stone label, as part of the rising stardom that Tosh was experiencing in the wake of a huge wave of enthusiasm for reggae at the time! The sound and style of the set show just how much the music had evolved from the sound of Kingston the decade before – with Tosh as one of the key messengers of the music, and a soulful, spiritual force within pop music as well – yet still working with relatively traditional support from his Word, Sound, & Power combo that featured Sly and Robbie on rhythms, plus Robbie Lyn on organ and piano, and Mikey Chung on guitar and keyboards too. Tosh wrote, arranged, and produced the set himself – and titles include "Mystic Man", "Recruiting Soldiers", "Can't You See", "Jah She No", "Fight On", "Buk-In-Hamm Palace", "The Day The Dollar Die", "Crystal Ball" and "Rumors Of War".  © 1996-2025, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Condition Notes

If something is relevant, we try to describe it in the notes — especially if it is release or pressing details, or an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
