Do Ya Wanna Funk (orig, inst, radio)

12-inch (Item 369225) Megatone, 1982 — Condition: Used
Temporarily Out Of Stock

12-inch, Vinyl record

Early 80s post disco groove – featuring Sylvester on vocals, with a nice, electronic synth sound to the track! You might know Cowley's remix of Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" or "Megatron Man", which have the same feel as this club cut. (In a stickered Megatone sleeve.)  © 1996-2016, Dusty Groove, Inc.

We realize that there are many different interpretations of the standard grades used for pre-owned vinyl record albums & CD, so we thought we'd offer you the ones that we are working with, so you have an idea what we mean when we give the grade for a non-new item on our pages.

Used Vinyl Grades

Below are stated conditions for a used vinyl records at Dusty Groove. Grading for the cover should be assumed to be near (within a "+" or "-") the grading for the vinyl. If there is significant divergence from the condition of the vinyl, or specific flaws, these will be noted in the comments section of the item. However, please be aware that since the emphasis of this site is towards the music listener, our main concern is with the vinyl of any used item we sell. Additionally, please note that all of our records are graded visually; considering the volume of used vinyl we handle, it is impossible for us to listen to each record. If we spot any significant flaws, we make every attempt to listen through them and note how they play.

The following grading conditions apply to the vinyl component of an album or single:

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Columbia, 1994. Very Good- (pic cover)
Classic Nas track from the Illmatic LP. Smooth as butter production from Pete Rock, with a dope mix by Q-Tip, with different music than the LP version. What more could you ask for? 12-inch, Vinyl record

Clean On Your Bean #1/Go Bang! #5
Sleeping Bag, 1982. Good+
A spacey disco classic! "Go Bang" is a wonderful tune – with a jaunty vocal refrain that's laid over some off-kilter keyboard rhythms infused with bass. "Clean On Your Bean" is almost as nice, and even more dubby. Arthur Russell produced, and Francois K mixed! 12-inch, Vinyl record

Casablanca, 1976. Very Good Gatefold (pic cover)
Fantastic! This is the kind of stuff that the 12" single was invented for – as Donna snakes and orgasms her way through 16 minutes of "Love To Love You Baby". The track has loads of changes and spare passages – and the cool electronic work by Giorgio Moroder sends us ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
