Temporarily Out Of Stock

7-inch, Vinyl record

❔

Two funky groovers from Johnny C! "Cool Broadway" takes up where "Funky Broadway" left off – dancing along at a similar beat, but slightly more restrained, or "cool", if you will. "Hitch It" vamps along in that Cliff Nobles "Horse" groove – rolling hard and heavy with a lot of horns, jerking along nicely to the end!  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good - (minus)

  • Vinyl may be dirty, and can lack a fair amount of luster.
  • Vinyl can have a number of marks, either in clusters or smaller amounts, but deeper.
  • This is the kind of record that you'd buy to play, but not because it looked that great. Still, the flaws should be mostly cosmetic, with nothing too deep that would ruin the overall record.
  • Examples include a record that has been kept for a while in a cover without the paper sleeve, or heavily played by a previous owner and has some marks across the surface. The record should play okay, though probably with surface noise.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Phil-LA Of Soul, Late 60s. Very Good
Classic Northern soul groover! "Boogaloo Down Broadway" is Johnny's greatest legacy in soul music – and it's backed here by "Look What Love Can Make You Do", a track that insanely borrows just about every element of the backing of the hit a-side! The intro's the same, ... 7-inch, Vinyl record

Beautiful! Both sides of this one are from Sharon Ridley's hard to find early album for Sussex, and they're both wonderful deep soul cuts that show a side of this singer that never again emerged in her work later in the decade. 7-inch, Vinyl record

Incredible sounds from the postwar avant scene in France – a small record, but one that's had huge impact over the years! This 3 track EP features compositions based around the "structures sonores" of Jacques Lasry and Bernard Baschet – both of whom create and play these ... 7-inch, Vinyl record

The sweet soul vocals of Gerald McCauley sound wonderful here – delivered with this slow, heartbreaking pace that really fits the mellow funk laid down by Cold Diamond & Mink – almost making the whole thing feel like a classic New Jersey/Philly gem from back in the day! 7-inch, Vinyl record
