A key crossover moment for New Orleans soul – a full album's worth of work to follow-up on Lloyd Price's hit "Personality" – arranged and produced by Don Costa, with a sound to give the work just a bit more of a pop crossover appeal! Don's presence still doesn't dampen Lloyd's bluesy appeal, though – as Price is still heading up his own group, and working with a batch of tracks that are mostly originals – done in the jagged-grooving mode that made his New Orleans soul some of the first to really break big at a nationwide level.
