A budget collection of material that Aretha cut during her early years at Columbia – featuring tracks from some of her hard to find albums, plus a few that we've never seen before. As with all of Aretha's Columbia work, the sound is very different from the Atlantic recordings – but she does a great job with material in a bluesy and jazzy style, showing herself to be an incredible singer even at a very young age.
