This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap.
We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't
look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time,
we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape —
which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be
torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played,
the record will still qualify as "Sealed".
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
A pretty tasty batch of Caribbean soul tracks – recorded in New York, but with an extended groove that seems mostly Haitian – inflected by some nice jazzy work on guitar! The tunes have an extremely rhythmic quality – looping back and forth on top of each other, with African-style ... LP, Vinyl record album
The 3rd album by Oneness Of Juju (not counting the lost Bush Brothers & Space Rangers set) – and a great little set that has them changing things up for the dancefloor! The standout number is their classic "Every Way But Loose" – a tune that was so big it was later ... LP, Vinyl record album
Great early work from Sparrow – and an album that includes the track "Number 69", which was banned by the BBC! Other tracks include "Hangman's Cemetary", "BG War", "Robbery With V", "Wahbeen & Grog", and "Take Your Bundle & ... LP, Vinyl record album
Wicked electric funk from Young Holt Unlimited – and a real departure from the sound of their 60s albums, and a step into a groove that's very 70s-styled overall! The album's heavy on Fender Rhodes – played not just by group member Ken Chaney, but also by a young Bobby Lyle – ... LP, Vinyl record album
Our favorite-ever album from Gil Scott-Heron – and a set that we'd easily rank as one of our favorite soul records of the 70s! The mix of modes is mindblowing right from the start – as Gil's poetry comes into play with his growing talents as a singer, and his warm sensibility for jazz ... LP, Vinyl record album
