In Concert

LP (Item 361770) Brother, 1973 — Condition: Very Good+
2LP Gatefold

A hipper concert than you might expect – recorded in 1973, and originally issued as a double LP. The band by this point includes Blondie Chaplin and the enigmatic Ricky Fataar – and in some way, the songs have a sincerity that's lacking from a lot of the studio albums at the same time. There's a number of the usual 60s hits that you'd expect – plus nice versions of "Darlin", "The Trader", "Sail On Sailer", "Caroline No", "Heroes & Villains", "Leaving This Town", "Let The Wind Blow", "Funky Pretty", and "You Still Believe In Me".  © 1996-2019, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Cover has light surface wear and a small rip on the opening.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

A back-to-basics album of sorts – shorter, catchier songs recorded by the group after the collapse of Smile – but a record that still has some really wonderful moments overall – and which shows that The Beach Boys would never be the same after Pet Sounds! An under-discovered album from The Beach Boys – and one of our favorite records by the group!
