Look To Your Heart

LP (Item 360945) Capitol, Late 50s — Condition: Very Good+

A nice little set from Frank – and similar to the album This Is Sinatra, a record that collects some of his non-LP singles for Capitol from the 50s. Because of this, the album's got a style that varies from track to track – but in a nice way – and titles include "Anytime Anywhere", "Not As A Stranger", "Our Town", "Same Old Saturday Night", "Fairy Tale", "The Impatient Years", "I Could Have Told You", and "Look To Your Heart".  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Rainbow label Duophonic pressing. Cover has light wear.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Frank Sinatra

Voice
Columbia, 1940s. Very Good+
A classic full length collection of early Frank Sinatra recordings for Columbia Records – and maybe the definitive album of his mid 40s material originally issued on 78s! The quality of Sinatra's vocals here definitely live up to "The Voice" promised on the cover – as the ... LP, Vinyl record album

A Swingin Session indeed – as Frank steps out with Nelson Riddle on one of his last great albums for Capitol! Love Is The Thing

Mark Murphy

Start Of Something
Capitol, Late 50s. Very Good
Quite possibly the greatest of Mark Murphy's early albums for Capitol – a heavily swinging set that features some great arrangements from Bill Holman, and Mark's classic version of the title tune – which he'd reprise nicely in years to come! The album's got Murphy in great west coast ... LP, Vinyl record album

Time To Swing
Capitol, 1959. Very Good+
It's time to swing, but with a classy sound throughout – very much the best mix of modes Dakota Staton brought to her key early years at Capitol Records!
