Why do we love these Sesame Street records so much? Is it because they send us back to our childhood with fond memories, or because they're filled with such groovy music? This original Sesame Street recording is a great time with the Cookie Monster's voice singing children's songs over a variety of musical backings. 12 tracks in all, including, of course "C Is For Cookie", plus "Up & Down", "The Magic Cookie", "If I Knew You Were Coming I'd've Baked A Cake", "M-M-M Monster Meal" and "Me & Yo". (Cover has some wear and minor splitting.)  © 1996-2015, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good - (minus)

  • Vinyl may be dirty, and can lack a fair amount of luster.
  • Vinyl can have a number of marks, either in clusters or smaller amounts, but deeper.
  • This is the kind of record that you'd buy to play, but not because it looked that great. Still, the flaws should be mostly cosmetic, with nothing too deep that would ruin the overall record.
  • Examples include a record that has been kept for a while in a cover without the paper sleeve, or heavily played by a previous owner and has some marks across the surface. The record should play okay, though probably with surface noise.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Verve, Early 60s. Very Good
We love Mort Sahl, and this Verve album is a perfect example of why we do. Mort doesn't really tell jokes, so much as he relates stories of his life, politics, and experiences with pop culture – all in a way that was years ahead of his time, and which influenced countless of today's ... Elektra, 1971. Very Good- Gatefold
A key history lesson for those who thought that pot culture in music only started with Cypress Hill – a weird sound play album originally issued by Elektra Records in the early 70s! The album's the brainchild of producer/director Ron Jacobs – who put the whole thing together with a ... LP, Vinyl record album

Philles, Mid 60s. Sealed
A fantastic album by Lenny, and a rare release on Phil Spector's Philles label. Spector was a big fan of Bruce, and this release – with its title reference to his arrest history ("out again"), and its graphic image of him on a toilet in a yard next to a statue, is one of the oddest ...
