A classic bit of 70s dancefloor funk from Michael Zager – and a track that features early vocals by Peabo Bryson! "Do It With Feeling" kicks off with a slow bassline, but then picks things up with lots of the rocking guitar touches that Zager liked to bring to his work – pumping out the track with a catchy chorus chanted by Peabo and the backup singers! "This Is The Life" has a bit of a Caribbean touch – but employs some nice disco elements to warm up into a nice New York groove! (Label has an ink stamp.)  © 1996-2016, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good

  • Vinyl can have some dirt, but nothing major.
  • May not shine under light, but should still be pretty clean, and not too dirty.
  • May have a number of marks (5 to 10 at most), and obvious signs of play, but never a big cluster of them, or any major mark that would be very deep. Most marks should still not click under a fingernail.
  • May not look near perfect, but should play fairly well, with slight surface noise, and the occasional click in part of a song, but never throughout a whole song or more.
  • This is clearly a copy that was played by someone a number of times, but which could also be a good "play copy" for someone new.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Abet, 1977. Very Good-
Nice single featuring two later tracks from this master of the funky instrumental. More clubby than most of his 45's, and a bit longer too, with a nice stretched out groove. 12-inch, Vinyl record

Uno Melodic, 1980. Very Good
Massive! Sylvia Striplin is one of the all time groove favorites – not just because she's been sampled to death, but also because she's got an amazingly captivating style of slinky soul. Roy Ayers, Jamez Bedford, and Sylvia put this single together – and both tracks are great, the two ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

Sugar Hill, 1979. Very Good+
Three female singers/MC's with backing by the Sugarhill Gang Band – and rhymes that sound like they might have been written by the Sugarhill Gang. Maybe it's not up to the standards of other early female MC's like Sha Rock of the Funky 4 +1, but this is more like a 1979-era slow-tempo ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
