I Made A Mistake/Boogie Papers

12-inch (Item 352461) T-Electric, 1980 — Condition: Very Good+
$7.99 ...

12-inch

(€7.07 || £6.10 || ¥805) (approx.)

A pretty nice little post-Salsoul groove from Love Committee – stepping out with the same polished sound as the group's earlier singles, and floating to the skies with a tight harmony approach on the chorus! "Boogie Papers" is pretty good too – with a burning party groove that's almost got some touches of P-Funk club on the bottom, and which has a catchy little lyric about needing some "boogie papers" to dance around here! Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

A hard-to-find single that features 2 of Heatwave's best tracks! "Ain't No Half Steppin" is from their first LP – and it's a great little funk number that was sampled to big big fame by Big Daddy Kane, and which has become a funky favorite ever since! "Mind Blowing ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

A wicked split single – with a great cut apiece by each artist! "Cathedrals" is probably the best-remembered cut from DC LaRue – a strange disco groover, but one with a pretty infectious chorus. "Day By Day" is mixed with "My Sweet Lord", and set to some ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

One of the better Afrika Bambatta/Bill Laswell collaborations.
