Although Marsha Wash and Izora Armstead later metamorphosed into the too-silly Weather Girls later in the 80s, at this point in their career, they were pretty decent singers – and were being produced by Harvey Fuqua in a great style that took bits of soul, bits of disco, and forged a modern club groove that worked very nicely for their strong vocal techniques. The best tracks are pretty darn catchy – and the record's a great soul album that shouldn't be passed up, even if you're scared of their Weather Girls reputation.
