This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so.
These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play,
but might detract from the looks.
May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be
intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under
the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record.
(Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
Possible minor surface noise when played.
Condition Notes
If something is relevant, we try to describe it in the notes — especially
if it is release or pressing details,
or an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Trumpety magic from Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass – a record that's known not only for its classic cover of a model dipped in whipped cream, but also for it's tremendously groovy groove! The Tijuana sound is very firmly in place by the time of this set – Mexican-inspired, but ... LP, Vinyl record album
Groovy pop orchestrations from one of the best bandleaders working at Verve in the late 60's. Sweet Verve sounds, with a mix of jazz, easy, and Brazilian sounds, and tracks like "Laia Ladaia", "Cinnamon & Clove", "The Look of Love", "Arrasto", and "B ... LP, Vinyl record album
Pop-oriented stuff by Les, and very very mellow. The album is filled with lush romantic tracks, and is very different than his later exotica stuff. Titles are mostly standards, done in a fairly soporific way. Includes "Little White Lies", "Speak Low", "Thinking Of ... LP, Vinyl record album
One of the few instrumental albums ever recorded by George Martin – best known as the producer for The Beatles during the 60s, but a fab talent on his own! The format's what you'd guess from the title – a set of Brit Invasion tunes, all redone by Martin in groovy instrumental easy ... LP, Vinyl record album
Incredible! Ferrante & Teicher play the piano like nobody ever else had – save for perhaps John Cage! The duo do a heck of a lot of work inside the piano – plucking the strings, hitting them like vibes, and sticking in all of these weird bits to create a "prepared piano" ... LP, Vinyl record album
The groovy piano of Floyd Cramer takes on the songs of the Monkees – in a set that includes instrumental versions of "I'm A Believer", "Steppin Stone", "A Little Be Me A Little Bit You", "Theme From The Monkees", "Last Train To Clarksville", ... LP, Vinyl record album
Incredible work from Brian Hyland – one of the under-rated pop geniuses of the 60s! Brian's a lot older here than on his earlier hits – singing in a strange take on sunshine pop, one that's got some nice undercurrents of sadness that you really wouldn't expect – with these ... LP, Vinyl record album
