Nice 2 LP collection of some of Kenny Dorham's beautiful lyrical trumpet work for the Riverside label from the late 50s. The set features material from the albums Jazz Contrasts, Two Horns/Two Rhythms, Blue Spring, and This Is The Moment – plus one track from Abbey Lincoln's album That's Him. The focus is largely on Dorham's sweeter moments, and the set features a host of great original compositions by him, including "Poetic", "Spring Cannon", "La Villa", and "Blue Spring".
