Used Vinyl Grades
Below are stated conditions for a used vinyl records at Dusty Groove. Grading for
the cover should be assumed to be near (within a "+" or "-") the grading for the vinyl.
If there is significant divergence from the condition of the vinyl, or specific flaws,
these will be noted in the comments section of the item. However, please be aware that
since the emphasis of this site is towards the music listener, our main concern is with
the vinyl of any used item we sell. Additionally, please note that all of our records
are graded visually; considering the volume of used vinyl we handle, it is impossible

to listen through them and note how they play.
The following grading conditions apply to the vinyl component of an album or single:
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially

cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
More synthesizer and more of the spacier feel you'd expect from the title – handled in an early 80s synth jazz mode. Titles include "Capim", "Feel It All Over", "Push", "More You", "Nueba", and "Astral Island". LP, Vinyl record album
Material from the Flute Souffle and Flute Flight albums – surprisingly great records, and ones that features Herbie and Bobby trading flutes and tenor, blowing long solos in a set that gives them plenty of room to work! Sprightly early work from the great Herbie Mann – key proof that Herb was always a hell of a talent on his chosen instrument! Herbie Mann's going for a bit of a Memphis soul groove on this album – but he handles the work with his own sort of flair, and takes the style in a whole new direction! Unlike other sessions of this nature, Herbie didn't just fly down to Memphis and cook up a standard batch of tracks in the ... LP, Vinyl record album

An early showcase for the cool, compressed flute work of the young Herbie Mann – a style that created a great bridge to jazz for so many later players on the instrument! The Mann heard here isn't the overblown, soul-drenched Herbie of the 60s – but a player who's very careful with his ... LP, Vinyl record album
Very early work from Herbie Mann – delivered with a lot more fire than some of his later sides! The album's kind of a blend of bop and the 50s chamber jazz mode from which Mann emerged – played with a strong combo that includes Eddie Costa on vibes, Joe Puma on guitar, and Phil Woods ... An overlooked gem in the Dave Brubeck Columbia catalog – and a very hip set of "Eastern" tinged tracks! The album's theme is obvious from the title – as Dave pens a set of tracks reflecting his experiences on recent visits to Japan – but the sound and the style moves ... LP, Vinyl record album

One of the most compelling Bill Evans albums of the 70s – a set that has him teaming up with arranger George Russell in a unique 8 part "Living Time" suite – on which Evans plays both acoustic piano and Fender Rhodes! The sound is complex, with distinct modern tones – ... LP, Vinyl record album
