Despite the schmaltz that you might expect from a live set recorded at Lake Tahoe, the album's a beautiful batch of long tracks with a very similar feel to Ike's other Stax work at the time – and it really gives you an excellent chance to hear how he could create these tiny little masterpieces even in a live setting, without any sort of studio trickery.
