A classic album of stripped-down disco grooves – featuring spacey keyboard work from Boris Midney, and lots of heavy congas by Larry Washington! The real focus here is the instrumental work – those long, stretched-out grooves that seemed to be the trademark of the Miami scene in the 70s – especially given the use of percussion here. And although the vocals are mostly of the chorus type, they do a good enough job to emphasize the grooves – and help get the tracks moving forward in all the right ways!
