LP (Item 26234) A&M, Mid 60s — Condition: Near Mint-
$2.99 ...

LP, Vinyl record album

(€2.49 || £2.20 || ¥331) (approx.)

More nutty stuff from Julius Wechter, Herb Albert, and the Baja Marimba Band – sort of a percussive vibes-driven counterpart to Albert's Tijuana Brass. Tracks include "Brasilia", "Walk On By", "Guacamole", "More", "Juarez", and "Goin Out The Side Door". (Original pressing.)  © 1996-2017, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Going Places
A&M, 1965. Very Good
Herb Alpert's definitely Going Places by the time of this set – and his trademark Tijuana Brass sound proves itself to be a great fit for just about any sort of number! Tartaglian Theorem
Capitol, 1968. Very Good
Sweet and dreamy instrumental pop from John Andrews Tartaglia – an arranger we only know from a few late 60s sides at Capitol Records – all of which are pretty great! Tartaglia's got a style that's still heavy in mainstream 60s easy modes, but borrows a fair bit from the generation of ... LP, Vinyl record album

Legend Of Pele
Hi Fi, 1957. Very Good
One of the best albums ever recorded by Arthur Lyman – cut shortly after he departed Martin Denny's group, with a very similar exotica style. Man From UNCLE & Other TV Themes
Metro, Mid 60s. Very Good-
Milton DeLugg and his orchestra play the groovy "Theme From UNCLE", plus some other incidental music from the show, like "Illya" and "Night People". The set also includes tracks from other 60s shows, like Mr. Novak, Flipper, Bonanza, and Peyton Place. Plus, Richard ... LP, Vinyl record album
Limbo Party
Stereo-Fidelity, Early 60s. Very Good
A Limbo Party record from Ivy Pete & His Limbomaniacs – but a set that also seems to mix in a fair bit of Latin elements with the Caribbean styles!
