No No No . . . Estamos Na Nossa

LP (Item 25831) Decca (Brazil), 1970 — Condition: Very Good+

An incredible album! This one was recorded by the lovely Anamaria – best known to the world as the woman who sang on Marcos Valle's famous "Crickets Sing For Anamaria". She's on her own here, in a fantastic set of jazzy duets with the enigmatic Mauricio. The set is fantastic, with loads of killer material that has a sweet bossa feel and a nice jazzy groove. Titles include a remake of "Freio Aerodinamico", plus "Pelo Teletipo", "Le Le Le", "Ele E Ela", "Fotograma Click", and "Escrito Na Parede Da Varanda". Really fantastic – and one you'll never find otherwise!  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(90s reissue, long out of print.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Verve, 1970. Very Good+
One of the darkest albums ever recorded by Astrud Gilberto – her 60s last session for Verve Records, and a batch of beautifully moody tunes throughout! Verve, 1963. Very Good+
Antonio Carlos Jobim's classic Verve session from 1963 – a tremendous record, done with a wonderful airy sound that became the trademark for bossa production in America – and which also had a great inspiration on the sound of mid 60s bossa in Brazil! Early set of tight bossa grooves, recorded by Lalo Schifrin not too longer after he arrived in the states in the early 60's. A great little fusion set from Airto – recorded in a mode that's a great bridge between his acoustic roots and some of his smoother albums in years to come! RCA, 1964. Very Good+
A killer album from Sonny Rollins' prime 60s years at RCA – almost a return to basics, but always with that edge that makes Rollins stand out way more than most of his contemporaries – a subtle balance between straight and modern that really makes the album crackle! The sound of Ipanema in the 60s – served up here in a great partnership between American jazzman Paul Winter, and bossa composer Carlos Lyra!
