An excellent set of trio material by Max – and one of the best overlooked sessions by Sonny Clark! The small group setting gives Clark a lot of room to move around on piano – especially since he's the main soloist – and the album has a nice tight snapping sound, with lots of nice tracks like "Sonia", "My Conception", "Minor Meeting", and "Blues Mambo".
