Ten Percent (9:15, 7:07)

12-inch (Item 25463) Salsoul, 1976 — Condition: Near Mint-
Just Sold Out!

12-inch, Vinyl record

5.00 11

A fantastic track that mixed earlier east coast vocal soul with the burgeoning club/disco scene in Philly – not only a great piece of work in the harmony soul style of the 70s, but a massive dancefloor number served up by the godlike Norman Harris! It's offered here in an older Salsoul 12" single – with one 9 minute mix, and one 7 minute mix. (In a Salsoul sleeve.)  © 1996-2015, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Completely sublime! Shuggie Otis first wrote and recorded "Strawberry Letter 23", but it took The Brothers Johnson, and some smooth Quincy Jones production to make it a hit! The track loses none of it's original trippy soul in this version – and if anything, the better vocals ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

Polydor, 1976. Near Mint- (pic cover)
Rare promo-only 12" single that features one of James' best funk numbers from the late 70s. The sound is tight and hard, with a killer approach that showed James taking on disco with full strength. 12-inch, Vinyl record

Wand/Scepter, 1976. Very Good+
Jesse Green's classic "Nice & Slow" was a welcome soulful moment on the dancefloors of the mid 70s. The track's got a great groove, and has a wonderful little hook that keeps it on going a long long time. "I Get Lifted" is a great little track – one that's best known ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
