Electric Love

LP (Item 2280) Limelight, Late 60s — Condition: Used
Out Of Stock

LP, Vinyl record album

No love better than electric love – in our opinion! The Electronic Concept Orchestra lay down their own particular breed here, with moogy versions of sexy classics like "Je T'aime... Moi Non Plus", "The Look Of Love", "Like A Lover", and "This Guy's In Love With You". A nice groove, and slightly funky in a very groovy way! (Cover has a cutout hole.)  © 1996-2017, Dusty Groove, Inc.

We realize that there are many different interpretations of the standard grades used for pre-owned vinyl record albums & CD, so we thought we'd offer you the ones that we are working with, so you have an idea what we mean when we give the grade for a non-new item on our pages.

Used Vinyl Grades

Below are stated conditions for a used vinyl records at Dusty Groove. Grading for the cover should be assumed to be near (within a "+" or "-") the grading for the vinyl. If there is significant divergence from the condition of the vinyl, or specific flaws, these will be noted in the comments section of the item. However, please be aware that since the emphasis of this site is towards the music listener, our main concern is with the vinyl of any used item we sell. Additionally, please note that all of our records are graded visually; considering the volume of used vinyl we handle, it is impossible for us to listen to each record. If we spot any significant flaws, we make every attempt to listen through them and note how they play.

The following grading conditions apply to the vinyl component of an album or single:

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Moog Groove
Limelight, Late 60s. Very Good
Wonderful funky fuzzy moogy! The cover proclaims that this is the "first album of electronic rock" – and although we don't know how true that is, the record's a nice batch of moogy covers – featuring tracks like "Grazin In the Grass", "Aquarius", "Penn ... LP, Vinyl record album
Soul Of The Drums
Reprise, Early 60s. Very Good
One of the rarest of all Les Baxter albums – and one of the best! The record was cut after Les' early 60s move to Reprise – but it's still very much in the vein of his Capitol exotic work, which is more than we can say for some of his other Reprise sessions. There's a strong emphasis ... LP, Vinyl record album

Destination Love
Phase 4/London, Late 60s. Very Good Gatefold
One of the grooviest albums ever from Brit Easy pianist Ronnie Aldrich – filled with groovy late 60s tunes, and handled with some slightly funky and mod-styled backings that make the album groove a lot more than most of Ronnie's other work! The set's played by Ronnie and his "two ... LP, Vinyl record album

Reprise, Late 60s. Very Good+
This one's got a hokey title and cover – but it's a great batch of groovy 60s grooves! The album's supposed to feature songs from old-timey radio shows of the 30s and 40s, but Jimmy Bowen re-casts the songs (with the help of Ernie Freeman) into these campy 60s tunes, almost like a Laugh-In ... Rite Of Exorcism
Crunch, 1974. Very Good
Spooky recording of a live rite of exorcism, with spooky church music and scary liturgical bits about the devil. There's also some acted parts in here, like some stuff by a reporter who's looking at the event, and a young girl who's possessed by the devil. LP, Vinyl record album

Viva Bossa Nova!
Capitol, 1962. Very Good+
A sweet little album from Laurindo Almeida and his "Bossa Nova All Stars" – not a group of Brazilian musicians, and instead a hip set of LA players who really help make the set sparkle! There's a bit more jazz here than on some of Laurindo's other Capitol records of the time – ... LP, Vinyl record album
Exotica 1970
Solid State, 1970. Very Good Gatefold
This is a massively overlooked album! Not only is it a great late-sixties take on Exotica, but it's also got some funky grooves and nice jazzy soloing, ala Sound Gallery or Sound Spectrum material. It's almost like the Chicharrones album, by the Latin Gents, if you know that one – and ... LP, Vinyl record album
