Used CD Grade

We use the all-encompassing grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs because we only buy and offer used CDs in the best possible condition.

When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or defects we describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs), so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.

All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.

Condition Notes

If something is relevant, we try to describe it in the notes — especially if it is release or packaging details, or an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the CD. This might include, but isn't limited to, scratches, tracks that skip, case/insert damage or wear, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

One of the craziest cross-country films ever made – with a host of stars so big we'd have to rent another page just to list them! Ernest Gold does a pretty good job with the soundtrack – not as goofy as it might be, but still better than most of his straighter work in the vein. The CD ... CD

Omen (deluxe edition)
Varese, 1976. Used
Arguably one of the greatest horror soundtracks ever – an intense bit of work that builds on the vocal choral style of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, using male and female voices in union with staccato orchestrations to invoke a fiercely tense mood – one that works perfectly for the spooky ... CD

A beautiful record, and one that continues the "less is more" approach that works so well for Sade! The record really puts the vocals at the forefront, while still also finding the right kind of lean groove to make them work so well – important, as the breathier style of singing ... CD

Deborah Bond

Afterday
Asahra, 2006. Used
A beautifully remixed version of Deborah Bond's Day After album – and a record that goes way past the usual project of this sort! The original album was one of our favorites from a few years back, so we were wary of a remix version – but here, the guest talents have actually managed to ... CD

Philips, Late 60s. Used
Great 20 track compilation that focuses on the pivotal years for Serge Gainsbourg – the time when he was turning his twisted French pop into a sound that would forever be remembered, and become an inspiration for so many of today's musicians. The set's got a few tracks that are on other ... CD
