We use the all-encompassing grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs because we only buy and offer used CDs in the best possible condition.
When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or defects we describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs), so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.
All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can
request a return
for a full refund.
Condition Notes
If something is relevant, we try to describe it in the notes — especially
if it is release or packaging details,
or an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the CD.
This might include, but isn't limited to, scratches, tracks that skip,
case/insert damage or wear, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Buddy DeFranco plays tunes associated with Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw – but in a completely different way than before – with a wider-open swing for the 50s! The work here is all small combo, not big band – and there's a free-flowing groove that's totally great – a sound ... CD
A jazz treasure chest – an extraordinary bounty of Bird on Verve! You get absolutely everything here, master takes, alternate takes, loads of previously unissued material, rehearsals, incomplete takes, you get it all! Sidemen include Benny Carter, Kenny Clarke, Miles Davis, Roy Eldridge, ... CD
A magnificent follow up to the Undercurrent album from the team of Bill Evans and Jim Hall – and like that one, a set that features amazing interplay between piano and guitar! Hall's guitar has never sounded better – and in the airy company of Evans, it takes on many of the same ... CD
Christian McBride on bass – with Joshua Redman on saxophone, Steve Turre on trombone, Roy Hargrove on trumpet and flugelhorn, Cyrus Chestnut on piano, and Lewis Nash on drums. CD
Features John Scofield on guitars – with Mark De Gli Antonio on keyboards, Chris Wood and Tony Scherr on basses, Eric Kalb and Kenny Wollesen on drums, and Johnny Durkin and Johnny Almendra on percussion. CD
A great title for this one – as the album's got a cool, laidback groove that's very much in a "night song" mode! Arrangements are by Don Sebesky – in that warm and fluid mode he was bringing to some of his best CTI sides at the time – and they push guitarist Kenny ... CD
One of Basie's biggest albums – but still a work of pure genius! "April In Paris" is one of the darkest jazz standards ever written, and it never sounded better than in this original version, which features that great ending in which Basie and the band stop, then start, then stop ... CD
The title's a bit misleading – as a number of the tracks on here were recorded by Jacquet, and Webster only sat in on two longer jamming numbers – "I Wrote This For The Kid" and "The Kid & The Brute". Not that that's a problem – as those long numbers take ... CD
Ostensibly simple stuff from Bill Evans, but pretty darn great – and a nice move into a more sophisticated vein than his earlier recordings! The album has him working with bassist Eddie Gomez, a hugely talented bassist that would be one of Bill's best partners during this period, and a ... CD
